The Love Month

It's finally February! Wait. What am I saying!? I still have so many things to do and not enough time anymore to do them. Yikes! I'm so in trouble! Anyways, I have finally started to feel the need to move my butt from its state of flagellation and feel the urgency to start panicking... erm, packing, I mean. But first I have to finish organizing my things at home. (Wish me good luck on that one.) And I also have to ready some official papers and just stop sleeping late and waking up in the afternoon. *sigh* Moving on. Happy February, everyone! After the Chinese New Year, it will be "Chocolates and Roses" Day! So, Happy Valentines in advance, guys and gals! May you all have someone to hug (whether tangible or intangible :P) come the 14th.

Brighter Now

I have been blog hopping since I started writing for a living. And no, I'm not an author... yet. :P I just write and get paid for it. Correction, I just wrote things and got paid for it. (It slips my mind sometimes that I am now jobless. :D)  Anyway, I just had an epiphany when I tried to recall and revisit my old blogs. I realized that I'm less angry and discontented now than I was when I started blogging. The world is not so dark and gloomy from where I am now than from where I was a few years ago. So yes, I guess writing has rescued me from that gloom and doom phase. And I am glad that it did. For my future now is filled with possibilities instead of hindrances. And now I look to the future with a sure light in my being rather than cloudy doubt. And yes, I could be sappily sentimental sometimes. :P

A blessed month... this one we call January

Many of my friends and some of my family were born this month. I do not exactly know if they were born on gloomy or sunlit days. But I do know this, my world has been made more beautiful because they were. More specifically, four of my most favorite people in the world were January babies. *Bella Dona* (10th) She is one of the wisest and kindest people I know. She has both been a staunch supporter and chastiser in my world. She transforms into one or the other from time to time, whichever I need the most at that time. And she is among the first to turn 31 in our batch this year. Hehehe! But never you mind, Don. 31 is just a number. What matters is that your heart is in the right place. Right? Right! :D *Lovely Lola Natang* (25th) She was my first ally ever since I came out and greeted the world with my annoying baby cries. She was the one who first took care of me when my Mama immediately went back to work after my natal day. And she was always the first to enthusiasticall

Sinulog 2011... at the Grand Stand Part 2

After lunch, I took more pictures. No surprise there, really. :D Among the cutest drummer boy I saw that day Funny Kid Miners Queen Miner :P Drummers Chun-Lis?   Cardboard Flora More Butterflies More giants Some "die hard" media  Then more dancers... I like this bunch because they're so bright and full of color. :D Except for them... Some Bronze and Iron Men  Pink!  Gorgeous Beauty Queens And then my camera started to lose power... *sigh* So I lent my lens to Ley. Hehehe. Ley and I started out at around 10:30 am and I got home around 10:00 pm. No wonder my feet were giving me hell when I got home, a condition which lasted for two days! But when I checked my pictures, they were so nice that I didn't really have any regrets about the day whatsoever. And if all my plans for this year pan out, this may be my last Sinulog for a long while. So no regrets

Sinulog 2011... at the Grand Stand

After the short walk from Fuente Circle to the City Sports Complex, we finally made it to the Grand Stand. Then I realized we were even more far away from the stage than last year. *sigh* Thankfully, I was still able to take some pixies. Yay! :D I quickly snapped this before a security guy told me that it was not allowed. Hehehe. Colorful dancers on stage... More giants.... A butterfly we spied near the stage. It almost got squished by the bands passing through that part of the oval. Almost made me squeal. Yes, I had that urge again. Moving on. :P Some dancers we saw outside the Sports Complex, near the exit... Then we had lunch. Sadly, I was too lazy to change my lens and so Ley was the one who took photos during lunch. Will be posting the rest of the photos in the last post, which will be pretty soon. Pwamis. c",)
