Happy Birthday, Little Rascal!

Bonne Fete! Maligayang Kaarawan! Qu ni sheng er kuai le!  (a nod to the minute Chinese lineage you have... about 0.125%... :P) May you grow up to be a strong, courageous, honorable, and wise young man. Take care of your Mommy and try not to be too much of a handful to your Daddy.  God bless you, little man. Have a great birthday! P.S. Kiss Husky for me. :D

at dusk... the other day

It was one of those days that I suddenly had some hankering for some dusk photos. It's been a long while that I went out and took photos for no other reason than I just felt like it. Dusk. Twilight. It is one of my fave times of the day and I love the colors I get to see during those not so typical days when the sky gives off a splendid show of changing colors. I especially like the blue, purple, and orange transitions. The sky just looks charmingly awe inspiring when that happens. Then... I spotted my old pots on the neighbor's roof. *sigh* I miss Lucy. And I just sort of left the pots on the roof and forgot all about them when Lucy died. I guess I have to get the pots and store them somewhere safe until I could replace Lucy. (For those who don't know Lucy. She was my pretty pet cactus. I got her from Baguio. *teary-eyed*) But I still love lovely blue-purple-orange dusks. c",)

What's Happenin', Linea?

So yeah, updates. I'm still stuck at home, trying to generate some decent funds to add to THE fund. :P And I'm writing now, so it's all good. I finished Brother Odd. The monks were so cute. And this one is way more fun and much better than Forever Odd. Odd is still his sweet lovable self, I wanted to kiss him every few pages or so. :P In fact, I didn't want to put it down when I got through to the last page. I'm positively tickled that he has Frank Sinatra now, I adore that artist. (And no, I'm not in my 60s or anything of the sort. I just love old songs. Sue me!)  And I wanted to find my copy of Odd Hours right away. But it was early dawn and I really needed to go to sleep, lest my Papa finds out I was still up. Hehehe.  And I discovered this cute group from Glasgow, Scotland. They sound like one of my fave bands when I was in high school. As of this moment, I couldn't get their "French Navy" out of my head. But I don't mind. Th...

Another Food Blog

Yes, I'm writing for another food blog; only this time I'm getting paid for it. Great gig, right? So for my friends out there, please check the said food blog... that is if you have any time to spare. (Click on the title or the cute pink cupcake.) And no, I'm not forcing anyone to read this. That would be beyond arrogance. Even I know I'm no expert on writing in general. But since the lady boss is happy about the articles, I'm pretty content about the whole thing... despite doubts. (And yes I'm aware of the contradictions in those statements. Moving on!) Hehehe.

Au revoir, mon cherie ami.

A friend rests his head today. Inside a dark dank tomb he lays. His thoughts lost to the wind, His unheard sorrows at an end, His sighs are just mere imaginings. Forever no more red on his lips, No deep blushes on his youthful cheeks. Laughter in his eyes are but memories. His great spirit lingers in the clouds though. Paying visits in my mind's eye. Not uttering a single goodbye. A friend did rest his head today. But in many hearts, he will be always. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* P.S. Apologies for the corny lines. It has been a while since I wrote any poetry. I just really wanted to do something for a dear friend. He was one of the reasons my high school was full of laughter and fond memories. *sigh*
