A friend rests his head today.
Inside a dark dank tomb he lays.
His thoughts lost to the wind,
His unheard sorrows at an end,
His sighs are just mere imaginings.
Forever no more red on his lips,
No deep blushes on his youthful cheeks.
Laughter in his eyes are but memories.
His great spirit lingers in the clouds though.
Paying visits in my mind's eye.
Not uttering a single goodbye.
A friend did rest his head today.
But in many hearts, he will be always.

P.S. Apologies for the corny lines. It has been a while since I wrote any poetry. I just really wanted to do something for a dear friend. He was one of the reasons my high school was full of laughter and fond memories. *sigh*
