Presents, presents, and even more presents...

I love buying or making trinkets for friends and loved ones because I love being hedonistic that way. And when friends and loved ones return the favor, I love the habit all the more.

Let's see, these are all the presents I got for Christmas last year... that I haven't posted about yet. :P

I got this cute pink bunny(and a pink pen, which I haven't had time to photograph :P) from pretty Miss Sachi,

a tome from the charmingly lovely Miss Rachelle,

another tome from my lovely manita Miss Maris,

some oh-so-yummy brownies from Judo master Jen (The box here is actually empty. Couldn't stop myself, and my family from attacking it the minute I arrived home. Hehe.)

a box of sinfully scrumptious pastries from pretty Joan,

a cutie pen holder from bonita Kate... and a teeny bunny incense holder from Ley.

And then the previous months, my mom's presents arrived...

with loads of chocolate, of course!

And the latest are these cute makeup thingies from my lovely godmother (who incidentally looks a lot like my mom).

I adore presents.
And I adore the people who give them even more! (>_<)

A blessed month... this one we call January

Many of my friends and some of my family were born this month. I do not exactly know if they were born on gloomy or sunlit days. But I do know this, my world has been made more beautiful because they were. More specifically, four of my most favorite people in the world were January babies. *Bella Dona* (10th) She is one of the wisest and kindest people I know. If you're one of my cyber friends, you'd think I barely read these days because of the lack of book posts I've done lately. But actually, I'm still at it... at a much slower pace, albeit. But I'm still at it. I'm just so overwhelmed with other stuff that I barely have time to write for fun, which I think is quite sad. Downright depressing sometimes, I tell you! Anyways, the last book I've finished--that I could still remember--is The Dark Horse by Marcus Sedgwick. I've had this book for years. You see, I collect books I think I want to read and just dump them in boxes whenever my bed becomes too crowded and start to smell like an old library. So I have tons of books I've had for years but never really read. Lately though, I've been rummaging inside the aforementioned boxes because people have been asking to borrow some of my books. Getting sunburned in Daanbantayan

I went to this nice resort in Daanbantayan for a weekend trip last month. And no, this is not the island, this is still within the main island of Cebu. Ley and I took the bus. This is not the bus terminal. I took this at one of the pit stops. :P It's been so long since I took the public bus somewhere that I forgot you buy the ticket while the bus is already running, not before you board the bus. Yup, I was a bit of an ignoramus that day, or a really amnesiac person. Haha. Anyways, while we were on the bus, I fell asleep. And since I took the window seat, this was what happened... And it hurt like the dickens!!! :( But the place was lovely. We arrived at the resort around noon.
