Days 26 & 27 - Sweet Corn & Periwinkle

Yes, this is me being lazy. :P And no, I'm not really sure if the bloom is periwinkle. ^_^

Day 24 - Kate

Met up with a friend and had a brief "catching up" with her. Just met her late last year and we're already like old chums. Maybe our souls were friends in a former life? :P Incidentally, people say we look alike. But I think she's way prettier.

Day 23 - The Door

I've been in a kind of slump the previous weeks. But I'm positive I'm over it now. In a way, taking these photos and taking up walking as a past time have pulled me out of the doldrums... of a sort. And of course, a change of perspective wasn't bad either.  Moreover, I've always believed that every one of us always have opportunities to do and be better. It's like the cosmos or "powers that be" telling us that something will always come to balance things out--what with all the crappy things happening all over the planet. The only question is whether we choose to do something about them. Sooooo... if you want to  be happy, go out and DO SOMETHING... ANYTHING!

Day 22 - Going Bananas

I visited one of my college haunts today just to get these scrumptious babies. I used to subsist on these stuff back when I had limited funds and tons of thinking to do. Definitely yummy brain food. I thought it might only be hunger that could've made this nosh so delicious before. But I was wrong! It really is in fact super yummy.

Day 21 - Yellow Clover

These things are one of my fave junk foods growing up. And sometimes... when I get nostalgic about my youth... I crave for these chips and run to the nearest store to buy a bag... or several bags. :P

Day 20 - Wild Honey

Went to an event in Oakridge Business Park today. The place can be found in A.S. Fortuna. They were having their Summer Market for April--only on Sundays though. It was pretty cute. The whole affair had that Stars Hollow Fair feel to it. And the venue, though small, was beautifully organized. They had many good things to eat and for sale there. But I just fell in love with these honey in jars. ^_^

Day 19 - Guadalupe Church

I went on an official photo session today. Granted, I did it solo but it was really fun. I had to get on and off jeepneys along the same road several times, suffered strange "this girl is weird" stares from people, had my heart nervously pumping because I was walking on a shady part of town with a camera in my hand, and was sweating like crazy because even though it was cloudy the temperature was still painfully humid. And I went home crazy hungry. I really should do this every Saturday! Took this on my first stop. It's the interior of Guadalupe church. Lovely, isn't it? Have a happy weekend, everyone!

Day 18 - Late Afternoon Sun

I just love late afternoons. The changes of vibrant colors are awe-inspiring. Took this yesterday, of course. Just forgot to post it. :P Will try better today. :D

Old song... Latest earworm

I got introduced to this tune all because of the lovely Melinda Gordon and pretty Jim Clancy. It certainly fitted their love story to a tee. This song is just terribly cute and irresistibly romantic. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. And I can't help nodding my head to the percussion, feeling my lips curl up with thoughts of heart-shaped clouds, and tearing up in the eyes all at the same time. I can't help clicking the repeat button every time it ends, too. ^_^ Then I found this nice little rendition of Xenia from The Voice. (audio only though *pout* ) I actually dig both versions. I guess I just really adore this song.

Day 17 - On the 16th Floor

I had quite an eventful day. I woke up unusually early, actually an hour before my alarm. Yeah, unbelievable, I know! Then, I had my tutorial class for exactly 2 hours because I had to hurry to a job interview. And I had my lunch at 4pm! I thought I was going to expire right there on the couch as I waited for my final interview. I was so hungry! Haha. Thankfully, I had mints with me. They sort of confused my weakened head, made it seem like I was munching something more substantial. :P And when I was finally going home, I remembered the photo op while I was on the 16th floor waiting for the elevator. It was staring me in the face when I spied a window. So I scrambled to get my cam and well... they turned out okay. And I got the job! I'm so happy. ^_^

Day 16 - Fire Hydrant

I've been passing by this thing every day for a couple of weeks now. Finally drummed the courage to snap some shots... embarrassment be damned.

Day 15 - Pretty Kitty

A sure sign that I've been to Yam's house... I have new pixies of her cute kitties. :P

Day 14 - Tangerine Bug

Saw this weird bug and I couldn't help but snap some shots. I really should start taking pictures of people or something.

Freemasons or Vampires?

Which one would you rather watch on the big screen? Just read a post about an upcoming movie based on Anne Rice's The Tale of the Body Thief... and I just couldn't help but be excited about it. ^_^ It's been quite a while since we've had something from the Goth Queen herself and my heart is all aflutter about the prospect! And I've read in some fan sites that they're petitioning for this pretty Swedish singer to play Lestat. His name is Martin Rolinski... and he sure does look the part. He's so pretty, I thought he might not be straight. But he is. He's married and has a cute baby girl. Hehe. But the question we fans of the Vampire Chronicles should really be concerned with is, "Can he act?" Well, whoever the producers might get to play Lestat, let's all hope he'll be able to both "look and act" the part to perfection. *crossing fingers* In other news, I got wind of a rumor that Dan Brown's The Lost...

Day 13 - Dusk

Just averted a major disaster today. I'm so glad I took the risk of trying to fix my baby(or letting my papa do so) before letting Ley bring it to some overpriced experts... experts allegedly. And at least, I was able to snap this before I lost all the light.

Day 12 - Chino

Went to a friend's house for some pow-wow for a new project a few hours ago. (I just realized it's the next day already.) And they have these adorable and sweet felines. I actually got to pet them! I sound like a deprived kid, but seriously, my father doesn't like cats so I never got to keep any growing up. Only got to keep albino mice, fish, and now parakeets... for pets. Maybe someday I'd get to have cats. I like how they're always so "lambing". :P I got scratched by the littlest but most hyperactive "Dwarf" (or is it "Jennifer" now?) though. But hey, I'll just wear jeans next time. ^_^ And this is Chino, the big boss. Haha.

The Pink Scarf

I haven't been much of a fan of pink since I was in grade school. I learned quite early that this color being forced on almost all baby girls is not really my fave color. I realized I love purple before this "natal conditioning" could properly embed its claws in my subconscious. Yes, yes, I was lucky. Hehe. But of course, I completely understand  why a lot of girls, especially "little" girls, like pink. And when my bratty but sweet tutee asked me to knit her a pink scarf she could wear to Korea during winter vacations, I readily agreed. I love knitting stuff anyway. So here it is. The pink scarfy. I have pictures of the brat, of course. But I haven't asked her parents' permission for it and I know how people can be sensitive about that sort of thing... especially about posting faces in cyberspace without permission.  ^_^

Day 11 - Caffeine Power

I had my tutorial in the morning today. Based on that statement, you'd probably think I had more than enough time to look for today's subject. You would be right, if you did. Unfortunately, the midday sun was just too unforgiving... and I was in various degrees of melting and ennui and dehydration that I just went straight home after. I did try to convince myself that I'd go back out after a few hours, hopefully right when it was about half an hour before twilight. But my attention just stayed glued to the tube and my limbs were gripped by temporary paralysis(hehe)... that I just ended up staying at home the whole afternoon. :) And I just got my yummy shot of some energizing caffeine just when the sun was already more than halfway down. Oh, well. :P

Day 10 - Flowers

I'm not really sure what kind of flowers these are exactly. I think one is a type of daisy and the other one is a dandelion. :P

Day 09 - Iced Tea

Met up with some friends today. Then, they surprised me to an impromptu food trip. Yummy! Thanks a bunch, gals and guy! Next time, I'll try to save up so I could take the tab. ^_^

Day 08 - Forest Hearts

Walking can really be great for you. You may find surprises like this, if you do.

Day 07 - Lucky Bug

Almost stomped on this cute critter while I was walking by the side of the road. Thankfully, I didn't. ^_^

Ms. Salander Rocks!

Usually, I try to read the books first before watching the film adaptations. I don't always meticulously follow that "made-up" rule though so sometimes I end up watching the films first, and then trying to grab the tomes later. And when this happens, more often than not, I end up wishing to have perused the book first. But I often get bitten by the "bug of impatience" that I could never control myself. After all, sitting in front of a cinema screen or the tube for one, two, even three hours is much easier to accomplish than reading a four to eight hundred pages of printed words. Granted, I love books but they could consume a ton of your time before you get to the ending. Sometimes I do end up regretting giving in to my impatience... but tonight, I don't feel that at all. In fact, I want to read the book all the more now that I've seen the movie. Lucky I already have a copy. Thanks, Maris!  ^_^ Yup, I watched the Hollywood adaptation of Stieg Larsson...

Day 06 - Happy Sunday

As usual, I spent the morning attending Sunday service and I didn't even realize today's Easter... until someone pointed it out. Haha. Luckily, I was able to stuff my cam in my purse as I was going out the door, so I was able to snap a few pixies as we were going home... after Sunday service, that is. Unfortunately, nothing looked interesting... not a one! But I like the sky in this one so...

Day 05 - A Cake Bar and Pop Tart Afternoon

I'm reading three books at the same time at the moment. Good thing then that I have some nourishment to keep me awake. :P Now, if only I don't crash after that sugar rush maybe I'd finish one of these three tomes before the weekend ends.

from Lovely Snorah Jones to Lady Day to Ol' Blue Eyes

Music is my life! Hahaha! Seriously though, I've always been a great fan of music. I grew up listening to the Golden Oldies, The Beatles(because I think they're a genre all their own :P), New Wave, and even Gospel songs. I can't remember ever letting a day end without sparing some part of it listening to some music. I believe it's actually embedded in my genetic makeup... or something of the sort(I would like to think so). As I grew older, I discovered new genres and new musicians but the bliss I get from it is still the same. Music to my ears and heart is as delicious and satisfying as vanilla ice cream is on my tongue and tummy. Now, one of my fave artists is about to release a new album next month... and I just can't wait to hear her new material. And as if the news is not enough of a teaser, I just found this new music video that made me remember why I love Ms. Norah Jones. Then, she made me remember the following greats singing "All of Me"....

Day 04 - Street Lights

Almost forgot to post something today. >_< Then, I got a sudden hankering for junk food... so I got to get out of the house for a teeny bit... and I saw these cute lampposts while walking to the mini-mart/drugstore. Yes, the project is still on! Woohoo! Thank goodness for unhealthy cravings.

Day 03 - Beginnings

This cutie caught my attention as I was walking early this morning to... somewhere.

Day 02 - The Girl

I was just about to go out the door when I saw a message from my tutee's mom. She asked me to skip tutorial today and just resume tomorrow. I readily agreed because I've been envisioning melting under the sweltering heat traveling during midday all the while I was getting ready to go out. And yes, that's me ranting.  : P So I opted to just stay home today. And boy, was I mighty glad my niece wasn't in an uncooperative mood. ^_^

Day 01 - The Wallflower

Unoriginal, I know. Anyhoo, I've been feeling sorta low and have been trying to find some purpose these days. Then I spied my trusty D40 and told myself, "What the heck! Move your behind and start exercising those forefingers!" And so here I am trying to accomplish just that. I hope I get to see this through. I rarely hang on to things now. I'm a veritable "rolling moss" the past year or so and I hope to really break that horrid habit. So I hope this will be the first of many. :D
