Cute Booties for a Cutie & Pretty Berets for a Bonnie Lass

Friends have been randomly asking me to make knitted or crocheted thingies for them. And I usually comply because I love doing projects for my fave peeps. It doesn't hurt either that a deadline makes me wanna move my butt to finish projects on time.

These are my most recent projects.

The pretty mommy of this cutie asked me to knit giveaways for her first birthday.

I had so much fun doing these I've been wishing since that someone else would ask me to knit more. Hahaha.

Then a few weeks after that, a much-missed beauty suddenly left me a message that she needs berets for her trip. I excitedly acceded. I've never crocheted berets before. I thought it would be a great time to test my crocheting powers. Hehe.

But man, I had to work these awkward fingers overtime because the said friend gave me a pathetically short time frame! Luckily, I finished and sent the thingamabobs to her just in time.

Don't you think they look great with her colorfully cute outfits?! I absolutely shrieked with glee when I saw her wearing them. Achinette belle, thanks for the request... and the pretty pixies!

I feel quite blessed to have friends who have so much faith in my knitting/purling/crocheting abilities. ^_^

A blessed month... this one we call January

Many of my friends and some of my family were born this month. I do not exactly know if they were born on gloomy or sunlit days. But I do know this, my world has been made more beautiful because they were. More specifically, four of my most favorite people in the world were January babies. *Bella Dona* (10th) She is one of the wisest and kindest people I know. If you're one of my cyber friends, you'd think I barely read these days because of the lack of book posts I've done lately. But actually, I'm still at it... at a much slower pace, albeit. But I'm still at it. I'm just so overwhelmed with other stuff that I barely have time to write for fun, which I think is quite sad. Downright depressing sometimes, I tell you! Getting sunburned in Daanbantayan

I went to this nice resort in Daanbantayan for a weekend trip last month. And no, this is not the island, this is still within the main island of Cebu. Ley and I took the bus. This is not the bus terminal. I took this at one of the pit stops. :P It's been so long since I took the public bus somewhere that I forgot you buy the ticket while the bus is already running, not before you board the bus.
